After the spiritual tour of the Shitennoji Temple, I head down to the Tsūtenkaku at Shinseikai as today is my last day to use the free visit pass to some of the tourist attractions in Osaka.
From the Tennoji Subway Station, you can take exit 1 to Tsūtenkaku and also to the Tennoji Zoo.
Walk through the Shinseikai street, and you will see the Tsūtenkaku even from a distance away. The tower we see now is the second generation, which was designed by Tachū Naitō (内藤多仲), the same designer of Tokyo Tower. By the way, the first generation tower is destruct in a fire, and the tower look exactly like Eiffel Tower.
Not much photo along the way as it started to rain. I rather took lesser photo than getting my camera spoilt.
The observatory tower at the top.
The view of Osaka City.
The Billiken can be found everywhere in the tower.
There is a souvenir shop at level 2 where you can shop for foods and souvenirs.
Before you are wondering why they are selling sex toy at Tsūtenkaku, well, it is actually a pudding. Should be quite popular among Otaku and Hentai-san.
If you are a tower enthusiasts, you will like Tsūtenkaku.
